Description
This isn't a shade that hides the bulb - it's a wood cap that sits above it, so the light stays open and the wood becomes the design.
Hand-shaped from a solid block of teak into a clean, tapered form, this pendant light cover fits over a standard cord kit through a drilled center channel, leaving the bulb exposed below. The result is a fixture that feels architectural rather than decorative - more block of wood than lampshade, in the best way.
It pairs especially well with a filament-style or frosted bulb, since the bulb itself becomes part of the visual, glowing out from beneath the wood rather than being hidden inside it.
Each piece is hand-sanded and sealed, so the grain and tone vary slightly from one to the next - no two are quite the same. It works as a single pendant over a kitchen island or reading nook, or repeated in a row for a more dramatic effect above a dining table.
Available in Clear, Burma, Walnut, and Ebony finishes. Actual colors may also appear slightly different from photos due to screen settings and lighting - in most cases, the real wood grain and finish look even richer in person.
